- Grilled Gyros
For chilled products, gel packs may be partially softened after transit. The key point is whether the product arrives cold like fridge temperature. If in doubt, use a food thermometer (or contact support before consuming).
Because it’s pre-cooked, it only needs warming through:
-
Frying pan: medium-high heat, a small amount of oil (optional), stir/turn until piping hot
-
Oven / air fryer: spread out in a single layer and heat until piping hot
Cooking appliances vary, so follow any pack instructions if included.
-
Bring the parcel indoors immediately
-
Unpack straight away
-
Place the gyros into the fridge or freezer immediately
-
To eat, heat the product until piping hot within 5 days or place in the freezer for later consumption (usually 12 months approx.)
Chilled items are dispatched in insulated packaging with gel packs to help maintain a safe transit temperature. As with all chilled/frozen deliveries, external factors in the carrier network (weather, depot delays, misroutes) can affect transit conditions.
Yes. Thin, pre-cooked sliced meat can feel soft while still being properly chilled. Texture alone is not a reliable indicator of temperature or food safety.
Because Gyros is already cooked and sliced into thin flakes, it often feels “soft” to the touch even when it has been kept at a safe temperature. Selling it as chilled sets the correct expectation: it should arrive cold (refrigerated), not rock-solid frozen.
Pre-grilled Gyros (chicken or pork) is sold as CHILLED. It is pre-grilled / pre-cooked and thinly sliced, so it is designed to arrive refrigerated and ready to heat through and serve.
