My Funds. How does it work?
Account Funds

1. What is “My Funds”?
“My Funds” is a prepayment system that lets you deposit funds into your GreekMarket.co.uk account—plus, you immediately receive 20% extra credit. For example, if you deposit £250, you’ll only be charged £200 at checkout.

2. How do I use my deposited funds?

  • First, login into your account and deposit the amount you’d like into your account (e.g., pay £200 to receive a £250 credit). Please note: You can’t add products to your basket when you’re depositing funds.
  • After your funds have been deposited,  log back in, add products to your basket, and go to checkout as usual.
  • When it’s time to pay, simply select “Funds” as your payment method. Your deposited balance (including the 20% bonus) will be applied automatically.

3. Can I use my deposit over multiple orders?
Absolutely. You can use your deposited balance across as many orders as you’d like. If your balance doesn’t cover the full cost of an order, you can either top up your account or pay the remaining amount with another payment method, such as a credit/debit card.

4. What if my order total exceeds my available funds?
You can split the payment between “Funds” and another method (e.g., credit/debit card). It’s entirely up to you how you combine them.

5. Are my deposited funds refundable?

  • If you haven’t used any portion of your deposited funds, you may request a full refund of your deposit.
  • Once you’ve used any part of your deposited funds, the remainder is no longer refundable because you’ve already benefited from the 20% bonus.
My order arrived with solid gel packs, but the product feels soft. Is it defrosted and can I refreeze it?

Understanding Product State and Temperature:

  • Solid Gel Packs: The presence of solid gel packs is a good sign. It indicates that the internal temperature of the packaging has likely been maintained well below the freezing point throughout transit. This helps in keeping the products at a safe temperature.
  • Soft to the Touch: Products feeling soft to the touch does not necessarily mean they have fully defrosted. Meat and other frozen foods can begin to soften before they actually enter the “danger zone” (8°C to 63°C according to the UK’s Food Standards Agency or 4°C to 60°C according to USDA), where bacterial growth becomes a concern. Softening can occur at temperatures that are still safe, such as just below freezing.

Safety and Refreezing:

  • Refreezing Guidelines: If the gel packs are mostly solid and the product has remained chilled (even if soft), it is generally safe to refreeze the product without cooking it first. The solid state of the gel packs suggests the product was kept out of the danger zone.
  • Quality Consideration: Although safe, refreezing may affect the texture and quality of the product due to ice crystals that may have formed and then partially melted. This is more noticeable in delicate items like fish or finely sliced meats.

Best Practices for Handling Deliveries:

  1. Immediate Inspection: Upon delivery, immediately check the state of the gel packs.
  2. Feel the Package: If the product feels cold to the touch, similar to how it would feel in your refrigerator, it is likely that it has been kept at a safe temperature.
  3. Refreezing: If the product is soft but cold, and the gel packs are solid, it is safe to refreeze.

Partial Refunds for Unavailable Products with Fixed Amount Discounts Applied
Refunds

Sometimes, GreekMarket.co.uk may offer fixed amount discounts on your order total, such as £5 off on a £50 purchase.

Our system, by design, distributes this discount proportionally across all products in your basket. Therefore, every item’s price on your receipt will be slightly reduced, sharing the total discount.

For instance: On an order of two products priced at £25 each, with a total discount of £5, each product’s receipt price becomes £22.50, not £25.

If, due to unforeseen circumstances, one of these products becomes unavailable, your refund will be based on the discounted receipt price, which in this example would be £22.50 and not the original price of £25.

We acknowledge that this proportional discount application might create confusion. However, this ensures that the discount benefits are equally spread across all products you’ve chosen. It also ensures a fair refund based on the actual amount you paid.

As always, if there are concerns or uncertainties regarding your refund, our dedicated customer service team stands ready to assist and clarify any issues.

Pre-Orders delivery times
Delivery Order Pre-Orders

Expected delivery time frames apply to in-stock products only. Out of stock products, pre-orders and products with extended delivery times will vary dependent on individual availability. All delivery options are not available for all products.

We recommend not mixing in-stock and pre-order items in the the same order.
Orders that include both in-stock and pre-order products will be dispatched as one consignment when all products become available. This does not affect Prime members.

What if my tin or can arrives with dents or scratches?
Honey Packaging Products Refunds

We take great care to ensure your products arrive in excellent condition. However, sometimes tins or cans may get minor dents or scratches during transit.

Please note:

  • Superficial damage to the packaging (such as dents or scratches) does not affect the safety, quality, or usability of the food inside.

  • Because of this, we do not offer refunds, replacements, or compensation for tins or cans that have superficial dents or scratches only.

  • If you believe the damage has affected the product inside (for example, if the tin is leaking or the seal is broken), please contact us immediately with clear photos showing the damage. We will then assess the issue and advise you accordingly.

  • For your own safety, do not consume any product if you notice signs of spoilage, leakage, or contamination.

We appreciate your understanding that food safety and product quality are our top priorities.

What if the gel packs are not solid?
Grilled Gyros

For chilled products, gel packs may be partially softened after transit. The key point is whether the product arrives cold like fridge temperature. If in doubt, use a food thermometer (or contact support before consuming).
