Authentic Greek Coffee from Greece

Greek coffee is a traditional finely ground coffee enjoyed throughout Greece. Unlike filter coffee, the coffee grounds are not filtered out during brewing. Instead, Greek coffee is prepared slowly in a small pot called a briki, producing a strong, aromatic cup with a characteristic foam known as kaimaki.

At Greek Market you can buy Greek coffee online in the UK from established Greek coffee brands. Our selection includes traditional blends as well as different pack sizes and varieties, making it easy to enjoy Greek coffee at home.

How do you make Greek coffee?

Greek coffee is traditionally prepared by combining finely ground coffee with water in a briki. Sugar can be added before heating according to taste. The coffee is heated slowly until the foam rises, then carefully poured into a small cup.

The grounds naturally settle at the bottom of the cup, so Greek coffee is normally enjoyed slowly rather than stirred after serving.
